construction update

The final stages of excavation for below ground foundations and basement shoring has been completed along with basement level 3 structure and slabs. The tower crane has been installed, commissioned and is now in full operation. Precast concrete walls, columns and in-situ concrete ramps are currently being installed in the basement levels. 

Preparations for Lower and Upper Level 1 are underway and we are expecting the construction of these intricately designed levels to commence shortly. Once completed, this will mark a major milestone and achievement for the project with the first building floors meeting the existing levels of McDougall and Crombie Street. 

The external perimeter of the site and boundary fencing is being adjusted to suit the evolving construction methodology as the building comes out of the ground. The Precast lift and fire stair structural cores have been installed from the lowest basement level (Basement Level 3) to Level 3. 

The structural floor plate cycles are progressing with Basement Level 3 slab-on-ground completed, Basement Level 2 Suspended concrete slab completed and the contractors working towards the completion of Basement Level 1 & the main basement vehicle ramp. As part of the floor plate construction the Building Contractor is continuing the installation of Precast concrete walls, columns and in-situ concrete ramps. Initial services infrastructure deliveries, rough-in and early fit-off are commencing on Basement Level 3 and are working up through the building. 

The installation of a fixed-concrete pump boom, temporary road works and further traffic & pedestrian management systems are being implemented to support the infrastructure of the construction as the project progresses.
